I'm a Persian-Canadian fine art photographer whose work is shaped by memory, migration, identity, and place. Over nearly two decades, I've been drawn to subjects that hold something just beneath the surface—landscapes, objects, historic spaces, and imagined emotional states. Some projects stay close to lived experience; others move toward fiction. I return often to the uneasy space between belonging and distance, and to the way memory changes what we think we know. Rather than explain everything, I want the photographs to leave room for uncertainty, atmosphere, and the viewer's own reading.
